Our Story and Commitment

We’re a small, locally owned business out of Peyton, CO. As RV and camper enthusiasts, we love to take our rigs on adventures, and naturally, we enjoy the creature comforts they provide. We started out installing off-grid systems on our own campers, as a way to make them more efficient and to circumvent the inflated prices that dealerships charge for the same services. We quickly learned that we could install solar and other systems just as well, if not better, than the dealerships at a fraction of the cost (even with the best quality equipment). We found a problem and decided to come up with a solution. Thus, Off Grid Solar Specialists LLC was born. We were so pleased with the systems that we installed on our rigs, that we wanted to share that satisfaction with others.

Drew and Herí were a pleasure to work with.  Both bring a deep understanding of RV power systems and know how to maximize performance.  I truly appreciated their prompt responses, attention to getting the job done right the first time, and their clear, honest communication.  They were also very flexible in accommodating our travel schedule while we were in the area.  Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough about these folks. Drew asked me what I wanted and actually listened! Heri did the electronic install. He worked magic! He was able to place all the batteries, inverter and all other electronics behind my basement wall!!!! I didn’t lose an inch of space! I know that took a lot of above and beyond effort! The solar panels are placed in a way that still lets me get around on the roof. We took the rig from their shop and did a two month trip to Canada and the west coast and back. The system was flawless! We boondocked all over including the picture at the Grand Canyon, even when A/C was needed and never had a problem. Thank you Off Grid Team!!

Drew and Sandy and their team did an amazing job setting up our 2009 Airstream Classic 30 with 800W of Solar and 400 AH of Lithium along with several automation features and a WiFi booster. We could not be happier. They put up with all of our ‘newbie to solar’ questions, worked around our crazy schedule, and treated our baby like their own. I could not recommend them any more!!  Awesome experience!

Six month review update: I just spent my first winter traveling for work in my solar powered RV. I've learned so much. When I first saw the price on my OGSS quote, I attempted to play it cool and not look like it was clearly unrealistic for my budget. What evntually sold me was the owner telling me they "do it right the first time." I'm a piece of mind guy so I put everything I had into my OGSS purchase. My kids are in their twenties and late teens, so other than being a dad and husband this was was my best life decision. I urge you to pull the trigger! Starlink? Home-school? Remote Work? Live ANYWHERE? Yes Yes Yes and Yes. I'm shopping for a newer RV and OGSS will be my first step in living permanently as an OGSS Nomad.
